I'm really trying to get this blog going this time. I keep telling myself that I'll do it, and then work and life takeover. I've already been out on the water a handful of times this season, and it's only the beginning of April. I can't wait to see what the year is going to bring.
So far, I'm working on learning some new techniques, and sharpening old ones that I've forgotten about. I've already caught my PB largemouth, but it was in Florida...so it only kinda counts. I have a lot more goals to accomplish this season. I'd like to win at least one tournament, learn a few new techniques, and catch a 5lb. plus Bass in IL. Other than that, I plan to enjoy of the things that I really love in life...fishing. It's a great motivator and a good break from the daily grind.
Thanks for reading, and good luck this season.

Welcome
Welcome to my blog.
I've been inspired by a lot of other fisherman, photographers and naturalists over the past year or so to create my own blog.
This blog will be dedicated to my love of all things fishing, and outdoors. Honestly, I think it will help me become a better fisherman, as I continue my hunt for the big one(s).
I hope to not only chronicle my adventures, and catches, but also to share some knowledge along the way. I'm always buying new gear, and trying new things, to see what works out on the water. That being said, I still have my set of go to baits that seem to work when nothing else will.
Over the last year or so, I've also worked hard to learn new techniques from other anglers, and I make sure to try them on the new lakes I fish.
Being that it's January in Chicago right now, and I'm not much off a hard water fisherman, I probably won't have too many posts until the ice begins to thaw.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog, and that I can share something new with you that will have a small impact on your own adventures.
